As an athlete in long distance running and a dancer at heart, Jessica Angelique Gabrielli (b.1991) sources artistic inspiration from her love of sport, endurance and physical exertion. Focusing her endeavors around the art of Movement, she explores the aesthetics of the body in motion and its bigger relation to the concept of energy as well as constructs of Space and Time. Throughout all areas of her work, the elements of Light and Color are quintessential to the way she chooses to address and translate ideas in visual form. As a visual artist, Jessica’s practice expands across mediums, including painting, architectural installation and performance art.
Granted the LASALLE Award of Excellence upon completion of a Diploma in Fine Arts, she went on to pursue her bachelor’s degree under scholarship, graduating with a BFA - 1st Class Honors, in June 2013 from LASALLE College of the Arts, in partnership with Goldsmiths University of London. Further developing her professional identity under her own trademark J.A.G.IROHA, Jessica now lives in Melbourne and actively works between Australia and Singapore.
